Manufacturing & Operations

The RRE team has spent countless hours studying the total market potential. We know by now that bringing a high quality product to the market for the right price will make our venture a total success. This is dictated by the huge volume of the market and also by the different sizes of engines that we will make available to the market.

RRE will initially outsource the manufacture of all of the engine components, while assembling the R300 series engines in Markham, and the R600 series engines in Puyallup, Washington. During the initial production period RRE will have new moulds produced to cast in aluminum the various parts of the 650cc engines. Many of the other components needed are available from local suppliers.

Once the tooling to produce the engines is ready (about May 2009) production will begin. The actual casting of some of the parts may be sourced abroad for cost purposes while machining, assembly and delivery will be done locally. As the production volume increases, various parts of the assembly process will be automated. This process will evolve until the assembly operations are fully automated.

Production of the R600 series engines, plus pre-delivery testing will be done in the American Rotary plant in Washington State, and the engines will be drop-shipped to customers from there.

RRE has initiated the ISO 9001 certification process and anticipate being fully compliant in early 2009.
