Rotary Combustion engines can be used on co-generation units, which by burning abundant and inexpensive fuels can provide heat and electricity, in homes or businesses, at lower costs than the utility companies. In time, co-generation and power generators alone could create a demand for tens of thousands of small ‘rotary combustion’ engines throughout the world. Natural gas can be used directly or liquefied and made readily available through pipelines and portable tanks. The supply of natural gas is projected to last for a thousand years. Eventually fuels such as ethanol and other ‘bio-fuels’ can extend the fuel supply indefinitely.
Hybrid automobiles and trucks are rapidly becoming commonplace in the market. Even with a more efficient battery powered electric drive these vehicles require a range extender engine to keep the batteries charged during use. Having a “range extender gen-set” that can be installed to run when the batteries require recharging is much more efficient than many of the small engine hybrids in current use. These range extender sets can be removable, or even when installed can operate a variety of electrical tools and appliances, even to powering the home or cottage during emergencies.
The ‘rotary combustion’ engine will make the hybrid vehicle engine a practical reality.
Additional applications for the engines include: pumps, compressors, refrigeration units, co-generation, irrigation, tractors, lawn mowers, conveyers, farm equipment, mining operations, forestry, etc. The list is only as long as your imagination.
